About Us
Our family’s love for winemaking runs deep. At Das Weinhaus, we’ve built a legacy rooted in passion, hard work, and a commitment to quality on land that has been a family farm since 1931. Once a small dairy farm until 1974 and then a grain farm, it is now home to our vineyard, proudly operated by the fifth generation of our family. All our grapes and juices are processed right here on the property, with some grapes sourced from the New York vineyard where we obtained the majority of our new vines. From carefully cultivating our vineyard to handcrafting each bottle, every member of our family plays a role in bringing our wines to life. We invite you to share in our story, enjoy our wines, and become a part of our vineyard family.

“Got a cherry rhubarb pie from a nearby Diner for dessert and had it with their wine. The setting was just beautiful sitting on a farm pond with The Vineyards on either side and umbrella tables on the deck. We were lucky enough to not only have great weather but there was a wedding rehearsal that had just a band, just jazz live, playing. Owners stopped by the table and we're very friendly. We will definitely go back if we are in the area.”

“We happened upon this gem! Beautiful winery. Beautiful setting! Can't wait until the weather is better to sit outside on their patio, looking over a beautiful little lake. Inside was quite cozy for the colder weather. The owners are friendly and very passionate and informative about their winery. No food is served so feel free to bring your own charcuterie, picnic or pizza. They have a few packaged snacks and one of the local pizzerias will deliver. We like dry red wine and enjoyed the Marquette (not sure if I spelled it correctly). Will definitely return to taste some others!”
